Central Church is a place where people can meet Jesus,  engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. Join us for our one of our weekend services! Kids have their own space where they are safely engaged with Bible teaching in a fun and clear way.

Our church is multi-generational. You’ll find many people in every stage of life here- from high school and college students, to families, to senior adults in their 70s and 80s.

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

Whether you’ve never been to a church service or you’ve attended church your whole life, we hope you’ll join us this weekend.

Central Church is one church meeting in multiple locations. We meet in Augusta, Maine and in China, Maine 

We strive to cultivate a friendly and safe experience for you to be authentic. Don't worry about what to wear. The dress is casual - some people will dress up and others will wear torn jeans and a T-shirt - just come comfortably.

We’ll sing hymns that have been sung for centuries, worship songs you might hear on Christian radio, and songs from other churches around the world; all with the goal of helping people just like you encounter Jesus. 

We teach out of the Bible. During the service, you're going to hear about Jesus and the Bible in a clear and understandable way from our pastor, Ben Shoun. Following the service, we offer an opportunity to pray and talk with pastors and volunteers about any questions, concerns, or struggles that you may be experiencing.

While you're in the main service, we have another service just for kids. For infants–5th grade, AKids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Learn more here!
